Hey guys, I'm planning on building my own gaming computer for around $1200. I've pretty much decided on all my parts, just waiting on the Ivy Bridge to replace the i5 2500. I decided on the Corsair 500D case because I really like the fact that it's quiet, has USB 3.0, is SSD compatible, has good cable management, magnet air filters, and good cooling. However, I was planning overclocking to about 4 Ghz, so i need a heatsink, I was planning on theCOOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO, but I've heard that it might not fit in this case. I was wondering if anyone new if it would fit for sure, or if not, another similar alternative.

It fits easily in that case, oh and great case choice by the way.

I just saw this on a newegg review.

"Positioning of side vents makes it too narrow to fit a 25mm thick fan with a "tower" style CPU cooler (like a Hyper 212+/EVO). I will try a 15mm thick fan."

So it had me worried.

Hmm. Maybe the poster of the review is right. From the pictures of the case at the egg, it doesn't look like the side vents take up much room at all, so that's why I said it should fit, but you might want to call Corsair before you buy, just to be sure.

Thats a good idea, I'll have to do that. If it doesn't fit, would you happen to know an alternative good heatsink that is smaller and around the same price?
