Corsair PSU blows almost no air (Full Load).

Hello people,

I'm new here.
Today, I bought a new Corsair CX600M (Modular), and installed it on my computer.

I am very happy about this PSU except for one thing:
Although the fan spins normally, almost no air is coming from the vents.

With the GPU and the CPU on 100 % load, I put a piece of paper behind and it barely moved. Under these conditions, the power supply feels very warm (not exactly hot).

What is your unit sitting on? Make sure it's not on carpet if it's a bottom mounted PSU case design. Also, the fan is variable. When the temps and stress level increase so will the fan RPM's. If you leave the load on for a long enough amount of time, both the RPM's and accordingly, the noise level, will increase significantly. IF they don't, THEN there is a problem.

What cpu and gpu? Maybe they aren't stressing the psu enough to need the fan speed to increase.

GPU - nVidia GTS 250
CPU - Core 2 Duo E6600 (3.06 GHz - do not remember the exact model and I can't look currently.)

As you can see, it's not a very hefty build, but the previous PSU's (crappy one) fan blew a lot of air and that's why I am kind of worried.

The PC is not on a carpet and the PSU is mounted on the top.

So you guys suggest it's not malfunctioning? Should I not replace it? It cooled off preety quickly after I stopped stressing CPU + GPU.

Is this normal behavior from the PSU's side?

BTW, I'm not sure about how to post a reply from the mobile site. The only thing I can see is the option to add a solution.

That system will be pulling 200w at max, i may even be overshooting that?
Older psu's are louder since most may not be able to control the fan speed, plus older cheap psu's weren't up to standard when it comes to efficiency (think the 80plus standard) so they would run hotter anyway requiring a higher fan speed.
It's perfectly normal for the psu to get warm, i wouldn't worry about it, the fan will ramp up when it really needs to.
When it comes to electricity, unless the unit is 100% efficient at some it's going to generate heat.

It is normal to not feel the air coming out of the power supply though... I can feel the air going into the power supply but I can never feel the air coming out of the power supply - only heat coming out when I had my CX430 installed. I cannot feel any air coming out on my XFX TS 550, Antec HCG 620M, XFX CORE 750 and EVGA 750 B2 but I don't have a heavy load though.
