Corsair PSU GS800

Does the GS800 have two 8+8 pin connectors? I am not really well versed in the PSU department it's for hopefully a R9 290X 8GB Tri-OC Sapphire.

Right now I am used 8+6 on a Sapphire 6970.

That PSU comes with four 6+2 PCI-E cables; each one can be used as either a 6 pin or 8 pin cable (for 8 pin you plug in both the 6 part and the 2 part together. For 6 pin, naturally, you plug in just the 6 part). So yes, that PSU can make four 8 pin connections.
