Question Corsair psu question

Hi there. I have a Corsair rmx 850w gold psu. It is currently 2 and a half years old.

I know Corsair power supplies make a click sound when they are powering down a turn off.

It used to be that when the hard drive light on my case turned off, the psu would make its click sound. However in the past 3 weeks or so, the Psu seems to take a bit longer to turn off/make it’s click sound. Sometimes it does it a good 15 seconds after everything else in pc has powered off.

I just wanted to ask if this is normal for the relay to be so delayed and not a bad sign of anything. My pc runs great and the PSU doesn’t make any noises or anything of the sort. Just wanted to ask this question to make sure.

It's not a PSU issue. Motherboard and OS are doing that.

Ah thank goodness. May I ask, what about the OS or MB would cause it because this was a recent change.

now sometimes it doesn’t make the relay click sound when my pc shuts off. I understand this might mean it isn’t switching rails. Is this also normal?
