hi,
i am having a problem running my corsair xms3 rams together
when i boot up, the system gets stuck at the bios splash screen
i am using:
2Gb*1 stick at 1600mhz [link= http://www.corsair.com/cmx4gx3m2a1600c9.html ]
and 2Gb*1 at 1333mhz [link= http://www.corsair.com/memory-by-product-family/xms-classic/xms3-ddr3-memory/cmx2gx3m1a1333c9.html ]
my motherboard runs at max 1333mhz
i have tested them indivdually and they work fine
How can i fix this?

PC specs:
i3-2100
DH67BL

Try entering the bios and setting the ram in "manual" instead of auto. Set the ram speed at 1333 and set the ram voltage at the higher of the two sets. If both are 1.5v leave that setting in auto. Both ram sets are cl9, so you shouldn't have to adjust the timings. Some intel motherboards have few bios adjustments. If you don't find any for the ram, then you may be out of luck. Next time match the old ram exactly or check for a memory qvl listing.

okay there is a manual mode...i'll set ram speed at 1333mhz
but the 1600mhz has 1.65v written on the corsair website and the 1333mhz has 1.5v, at which ram voltage should i run?
and can there be any damage to the ram from altering the ram voltages?

I recently inquired to Corsair about what ram to get since the 3x2 set I have is no longer available. Here is their reply.
"I would not recommend mixing memory kits as it may cause your system to become unstable. In order to upgrade to 12GB you should go with a new 12 GB kit.
The equivalent 12GB kit would be model # CMX12GX3M3B1600C9

Thanks for choosing corsair!".
Though you modules are not the same the information is applicable.

I think you'll be quite lucky if you manage to get those working together well.

Mixing speeds + timings, let alone voltage is not a great idea, you might be better off just sticking with one stick for now.

i've tried changing the voltages and also tried to run both at 1066mhz...they dont work...i cant even enter bios setup when running both
i will have to get a refund now for the 1333mhz and stick with 2gb coz i cant find a pair for the 1600mhz
