Hello everyone !
So, I have a CG8270 ASUS computer with 6 GB @ 1600 Mhz RAM and today I wanted to install 2 Corsair RAM bars (6 GB each, 1600 Mhz).
The initial memory consists of one ASUS 4 Go @ 1600 Mhz bar (slot 1) and one ASUS 2 Go @ 1600 Mhz bar.
But now I have two problems :
1) even though I tried many possible configurations, the additional RAM is apparenty not correctly recognised by the BIOS. The pc will either not start (RAM LED turns on) or it will only show a part of the total memory I have installed. For instance, if I put the two corsair bars on slot 1 and 3, BIOS reads "4 GB RAM" instead of 12 GB !
2) when I install the corsair memory, the BIOS shows a RAM frequency of 1333 Mhz instead of 1600 Mhz.
The Memory Remap Feature is enabled, so I suppose my computer should accept at least 16 GB of RAM, right ?
Thanks for your help !
