CORSAIR Ram not working

So i have a GA-h61M-d2-b3 motherboard. On the website it says, it support 16GB of RAM. So i ordered a CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2x4GB). I even checked the Intel website for my G840 if it supports 16GB, and it does. So the problem is, when i have 1 stick in it works. NO MATTER WHICH SLOT OR WHICH STICK, so its not a dead stick. But when i put in both the CPU cooler doesn't even start, and the PC shuts down in like 5-10 sec without displaying anything. I wanted to buy a new mobo but i can't find any good ones that fit my needs.

It might be a mobo or power issue but i want ppl's opinion before spending any further money.

it might just be a defective memory stick.
did you try powering the system with only the second stick?

Yeah i used both sticks, in both slots. Is it possible that it's becasue my mobo uses 1333Mhz ram but i have 1600Mhz ?
