With Corsair Strafe RGB, you can turn the LEDs completely off if you want. You can also dim the LEDs (3 stages) and you can set any color to any key in full 16.3 million color spectrum range.

As far as deciding on which Cherry MX switches to go for, do as i did. Go to any PC hardware store and ask if you can test different keyboards with different Cherry MX switches. This way, you can test which Cherry MX switch suits you the most.
At first, i thought about going with Cherry MX Brown switches since on paper, the tactile switch seemed the best option. But in reality, when i tried out different Cherry MX switches in PC hardware store, i realized that the Cherry MX Red is the best for me. (I tried out brown, blue, black and red switches.) Since Cherry MX Red was a bit noisy for me, i ordered my KB with Cherry MX Silent switches.
