Corsair RGB K55 Keyboard - Lighting Issues

Hello, my corsair K55 RGB Keyboard won't light up anymore. I've tried to delete the driver from the Device manager, then reboot the PC, and plug the keyboard into a different USB, then scan for hardware changes.

When I open the Corsair Utility Engine (which I've reinstalled twice now) the device doesn't show up.

It's a big issue for me, because I play in the dark at night a lot when my son goes to bed.. I find myself messing up a lot these past few nights because my keyboard isn't lit up!

You may want to rule out a faulty keyboard by taking it to your neighbors or a donor system and trying tit here without the CUE software. Per your keyboard's user manual, the keyboard should function on it's own and you can access the RGB functionality with the aid of the FN+corresponding key.

I'd likewise ask you to make sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date and that your chipset/USB drivers are also up to date.

Okay, I'll plug it into my womans laptop and see if it will work correctly!

Also my drivers should be up to date, but I'll go through and check for updates, right now. I'll report back with results

Well, looks like my keyboards lighting system is malfunctioning. Plugged it into my laptop and same thing, functional, but no lights. Drivers are up to date on both systems.
