Corsair RM Series, RM1000 (1000W), Fully Modular Power Supply fan doesn't spin?

Is it normal for my PSU's fan not spin? Ever since I have had it, I have never seen the fan spin. I wasn't sure if this was normal for my particular power supply.

Is it RMx or RMi or the old RM?

The RM1000 has a zero rpm fan mode to keep it quiet until it gets under a load above 40%. Sounds like it's doing what it should, unless you're putting a heavy load on it.
