corsair RM1000 fan not spinning.

I have recently built a new PC with a RM1000 psu. the only problem is the fan on the psu does not spin, even on system start up. does anyone know any posable fixes or am i going to have to send it back.

That PSU has a semi-fanless mode, meaning that it won't spin the fan unless it's hot enough (under enough load) that it needs to. This makes it quieter, and means the fan lasts longer.

Unless you have a multi-GPU rig or are in a very warm area, you'll probably never put it under enough load to force the fan to spin.

it does get to hot to touch, but i have herd that all PSUs spin on start up.

No, only those programmed to. It depends on what those writing the code in the fan controller were thinking at the time.

Also, it's meant to get warm. That's how it dissipates the heat without forced air movement.
