Hi,
I'm a little bit new to this building malarkey and I'm pretty sure that someone on here must be able to help, even if it is Christmas Eve!
I have the Corsair RM550 PSU and with that came one single PCI-E cable. The cable has an 8 pin connector on the end that goes into the PSU and on the opposite end the cables splits into two separate 6+2 pin connectors.
If my GPU requires an 8 pin AND 6+2 pin connection can I use the single cable I described above? Or should I be using something else? As far as I know, the PSU has a single 12V rail. I was really hoping that I could use a single cable for both connections as I only have a small case and would like to keep things to a minimum.
This is what the cable looks like on the end that I believe connects to the GPU:

I hope this isn't too confusing!
