[SOLVED] Corsair RM550x 2015 vs 2018 how to tell the difference before buying?

I don't think their really any difference in the 550 watt models just the 750 and 850 added extra 8 pin CPU and in line caps.

The model from currys in the uk is definitely the 2018 model then yeah? I know there's not much difference, I'd just like the newer version

The most definite way is to look at model number, '2015' version has '2009' in the model number, '2018' one has '2017'. Older one is also slightly longer and has capacitors in cables but given that retailer most likely would just grab a random images for Corsair RMx from Google to put them in product description that's not a reliable way to distinguish them.
Having said that, it really doesn't matter, they're both good.
