Corsair RM650i Fan

can i manually start the fan of rm650i or control it to start. im having difficulty of it because the fan is not running because my computer cant consume the load that it needs to turn it on. thank you.

I would leave it alone it will turn on at the preset thermal threshold.

but, i the computer cant get up to 260+W load. i need to run it manually im getting worried of its heat.

You shouldn't worry , it's a high quality PSU , that will kick in when needed.

even if it didnt reach the wattage it needs to run the fan? i think it may overheat. btw, what is the normal operating temperature of psu?

You got the right answer.

The PSU fan will come anyway if the temperature of the power supply reaches a certain point. I have the same RM650i, and you can monitor temperature and fan speed with Corsair Link. The fan comes on when the PSU reaches about 42'C, regardless of power load. (Certain power load will probably start the fan too; I can't remember though.)
