  • Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB 3.200MHz
  • Samsung 970 Evo plus 500GB
  • Crucial MX500 1TB
  • Gigabyte 2070 Super Windforce OC 3X (+15MHz Core factory overclock)
  • CoolerMaster MB520 RGB
  • Corsair RMx 650W

Is this PSU enough for this system if i go for a heavy GPU overclock? If i run it with the factory overclock only, the entire system can draw about 380-420W on 100% load, according to Pcpartpicker and some PSU Calculators, but i don't know how much power it can draw if 2070 Super's running to it's limits.

Solution
Even with synthetic stress tests I can't picture the system going much beyond 500w. The RM650x being an exceptionally well made PSU. Should not be phased by it. Do try to get the old model. The 2019, while still good, is not as good as the prior revision.
I own the 2018 Edition i think. Thanks for your answer.

Is it safe to use the PSU for an approximate 60-70% usage for hours? Even if it's a high quality one.
Yes, for the overclocking their not a lot to do to the processor their just not much room left over the boost speed, about the same with the video card it's already factory overclocked and probably don't have a bunch left.

They are built for extended, demanding loads. It's all about keeping them cool. As long as your case has plenty of airflow or has a dedicated PSU vent you leave unobstructed. Also that you keep everything free of dust build up. Heat should not be an issue. Get your computer off the floor if you don't want to clean it so often. If it is on the floor and the floor is carpeted. At least put a wood plank under the computer.
