I just built this PC and my brand new 750x is giving off a high pitched noise. It wasn't originally, but started about 2 weeks in.

Even with the PC off, it is still making the noise. If I flip the power switch off on the PSU, it then shuts off.

I've never had a PSU do this before. Is it just defective? I have a video I can try and upload.

Thank you

Edit- Side note. I switched out my RAM, but I forgot to flip the PSU switch off when I did it. The PC was obviously off. Is that okay? Should I be concerned I possibly messed something up? The PC is functioning fine otherwise.

Powered directly from the wall?

If the pc works fine otherwise would i not worry about the ram.

Yeah plugged into the wall. But with the PSU switch in the off position.

AS far as i can tell, everything works fine. PC boots, games play fine, etc. Just notice that the PSU is giving off this high pitched whine now. Not sure if it was always there and I just didn't notice, or if it happened after switching the Ram out. Either way I am just replacing the PSU while I can return it.

Okay, switched the PSU with a brand new one. Same model.

PSU still has coil whine when the PSU switch is on, but the PC is off.

If I turn the PSU switch off, it stops. So whenever it is getting power, it is giving off this high pitched noise.

And even weirder, I am noticing more GPU coil whine. I've built 10 PC's over the years for myself and friends, and they have always been pretty much silent. No idea why I am having so much trouble with this one.
