My first Modular PSU (Corsair RM850) is coming in tomorrow. I was told I could potentially damage my system if I plug in the processor cable (8pin) into the wrong port on the PSU. Is this true?

Solution
1) If you plugged it in, and went to turn the system on, and it somehow got the signal through to the PSU despite it not being plugged into the right place, then maybe.

2) But modular PSUs are keyed anyways, so it should be physically impossible to plug the CPU power cable into any port but the one for the CPU power cable.
