[SOLVED] Corsair RM850X question

confused about this layout , it makes me think all the PCIE 6+2 ports can also be used for CPU 4+4 cables ? I guess what is throwing me off is when I read people say they are different?

On the PSU end, yes, all the 8-pin sockets are the same. 4+4 and 6+2 are not interchangeable at the component end. All 12V and ground, but in different layouts.

thanks so as long as I use the cables marked CPU on the motherboard and the ones marked PCIE on the GPU thats all all the matter and what 8pin socket on the PSU I can use any of the 5 on the PSU
