Hi,

I currently have an RMx 650 modular PSU, but will be upgrading to the RMx 750. Can anyone confirm if the cables are the same? I'm trying to avoid the need to disconnect everything.

Solution
If the RMx 750 is also modular then it will have the exact same set of cables as the RMx 650 had provided with it when you bought it.

Just because the power changes, does not mean the cable connections or ones provided will be different.
As a rule for the same PSU in the range all cables ect stay the same.

Hi Turkey Scratch. I'll actually be saving money by upgrading! I bought the 650 about 2 weeks ago, and I'm going to RMA it. I should get a full refund. Meanwhile Newegg has a sale going on that actually makes the 750w $10 cheaper now. So I'll actually be getting $10 back and getting 100w more.

I want to eventually get a second 1070 and SLI it. While i read that 650w would probably be enough, if I add a few more fans, overclock the cpu, and add some leds, I don't want to be cutting it close.

I wouldn't RMA something if nothing is wrong with it. You have to pay shipping when you RMA something and in the end I think you'll just be sorry you went through the whole process.

Two GTX 1070s + OC CPU system will be about 400W while gaming. LEDs and fans? They use like under 1W each.

Hi again,

Newegg actually has already given me a shipping label that will deduct $0 from my refund. Also, they claim as long as I return it with all accessories, I will get a full refund. Even if I only get 85%(which is what I originally thought I would get), that means it will cost me $6.50 to do the upgrade.

I plan on waiting for the RMx750 to arrive, literally just swap PSU out, and swap the boxes, then send it back to newegg in the exact shipping box.
