Corsair scimitar rgb pro malfunctioning

I recently bought a corsair scimitar rgb pro.

and short time after the mouse started a short lagg lasting for only a second and even shut down completely a few times.

corsair utility engine shows that it is malfunctioning. i am then searching for a fix for this otherwise i will have to send it back to wher i bought it

solution found... switched from the usb 3.0 on the motherboard that has outdated drivers back to win 8.1, to a usb port 2.0. that also has outdated drivers.
