Corsair has done an investigation on their SF PSU line up, due too the higher than usual RMA requests. As a result, Corsair has concluded that the SF family of PSU's with lot codes from 194448xx to 201148xx and manufactured between October 2019 through March 2020 should be returned for a newer SF unit.

The cause of the failure is due to a combination of high humility and high temperature, causing the PSU the fail prematurely. While this might not affect every SF owner with those lot codes and manufactured between those dates, Corsair is starting a voluntary product replacement program. Corsair also states that SF units made before October of 2019 are not affected by this issue, and do not need to be recalled.
