K70 owner here. LEDs always broke. Sent for warranty twice. built well but I would be very very skeptical on any LEDs from Corsair

Why use WASD? Isn't better to use ESDF?

I've used that combination since Q2 RA days until I got the Belkin Nostromo n52 and now the Orbweaver (I hate your software Razer, HATE IT!).

Still pretty nice keyboard.

Cheers!

Unless you have monster hands trying to press the control key is extremely hard, as well as tab, 1 and ~ buttons.

My MSI laptop has something similar to this. the other week the flight attendant commented on how cool it looked :) Steal series makes the keyboard in my laptop, do they not make a color keyboard like this as well?

But really ..... why would you need one?! Why is it any worse than just a back-lit kb? You do not spend time at the keyboard looking at it, you are typing, and if you are any good at it, you are blind-typing .... if you are even looking at the keyboard, you should be concentrating on what you are typing, rather than on "OMG, it looks so colourful and pretty!" IMO - useless.

I have a Corsair K90 and in general its a bad keyboard for professional gaming (Keys are simply not well spaced). I use it for random gaming, where Leds are rather useless unless you are trying ti impress someone.Id Like Steelseries to relese their 6vG2 keyboard with this thou. Id use they lets for Starcraft hotkeys, in different coleors for different races 😀.

+1000.
I think they get their LEDs from the rejects bin. A widespread problem with their KB, will never get another LED-lit KB from them.

Seriously, they're trying to get me to retire my Das Keyboard. I've requested Das to build a gaming board, but they just won't do it.And I think they already know I confessed my love for their products. Can't wait to see this plank. Make mines Cherry MX Brown please?Haters are gonna hate, but I won't hear them.

Because your modifier keys like, SHIFT, Control, Alternate, TAB. ~ 1 2 are more difficult to press. A lot of people use CAPSLOCK for push-to-talk, on account of convenience, and that's more difficult. WASD is ideal for performance. Weather you see it or not, it's much more efficient.

Had my K90 for two years and not one LED has gone bad so far. You might have gotten unlucky.

I have no problems using my K90 and the key spacing is about the same as my wifes G510s and my old G15 was.

And I have massive hands.

Widespread? I haven't heard of this until this post. And my K90 has lasted 2 years so not sure it is widespread.
