Hi,

Mobo: MSI H170 GAMING M3
CASE FAN (INTAKE): Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition

Problem: The cable wire of the SP120 is too short.
Question: Can I use DeepCool Fanhub
(http://www.deepcool.com/product/dcoolingaccessory/2013-12/12_663.shtml)
to connect my SP120 to the mobo fan header? Thanks!

Solution

Yes, but if you want something a little cheaper, a straight out extension would suffice

You really just need an extension, that hub could be it, but when you add more than one to it, they share the voltage and each run slower rpm's , those Static pressure fans need the rpm to push the air. Use static pressure fans for front intake when the case has obstructions like HDD cage or a radiator etc, if none, use AF fans (Airflow)

Mark_1970: I have 2 SP120 in front of the case as intake because I have HDD case that block airflow. The fan # 1 is connected to fan header # 1 of mobo without any problems. The fan # 2 cannot reach the mobo's fan header # 2 that's why I want to use a DeepCool fanhub as an extension to the fan # 2. Is this okay?
