Ive read alot about this problem but im not as stuck as others. When I set ssd to boot 1 in bios and restart i get the black screen with underscore. Go Back to bios and set my hdd to boot 1 and restart and it brings up a boot manager screen. I select advanced options and go to start windows normally and it boots. My ssd has win 7 64 bit and i did a full format of my hdd after i installed windows to my ssd so not sure why setting it to hdd would boot windows unless theres somehow old folders still on there. Used corsair toolbox and updated firmware so i know thats good and as far as i know windows is up to date. I can get into windows no problem and the only other thing i can think of is that my windows wont activate cuz ive reinstalled it or used key too many times. Any thoughts on this?

... you can't format a drive once you have Windows loaded on it. Sounds to me like you are still booting off of the HDD.

Unplug the HDD and see if you can get the system to boot. Then put the HDD back and unplug the SSD and see if it boots. My bet is that there is nothing on that SSD

lol. ok itll be a min. Just from going into comp my ssd has the windows icon over it and has the windows files, log files, user files and program files and my hdd has program files like steam, origin, and asus that i didnt want on ssd so im assuming windows would have installed to ssd right?
