Hi all! Currently i have a FX6300 with two 5850's in crossfire. My current PC is going to my little brother, and i'm building a 4k capable rig for myself. I'm a little shor on budget and i would like to save as much as i can, so, would it be possible to use my current PSU with my future rig (4690k and 290x crossfire, all a little overclocked, and just an SSD and some fans) ?

I was going t buy a HX1050, but if i can buy a mpore basic one to power the 5850 crossfire for my current rig and save some € in the process, it'll be nice.

Thanks! Unfortunely, i cant buy at newegg, i'm in Spain, so European shopa only. Anyway, the HX1050 is at a very good price at thw shop i'm buying everything, so i think i'll go with that. Tge cheapest 1000 Seasonic is way more expensive in this shop. Thanks again!

Hehe, thanks, but if i add shipment, it's almost double the price of the Corsair HX1050. I've read good reviews of the HX1050 anyway, they give it a good score at JonnyGuru, so i think i shouldn't worry.

Yeah... 300W TDP for each card without OC and 88W for the CPU doesn't leave much overhead. Some... but not much.

Just keep in mind that the HX1050 has been EOL for a while, so the unit at your local retailer probably has about a year old date code on it. So make sure you keep your receipt so if you need to RMA it, they can give you the full 7 years and not base your warranty period off the date code.
