Question Corsair TX850M 80plus PSU clicking noise

Corsair TX 850M 80plus is making clicking noises as of one week ago. Has been running stable for 10 months with no problems in exactly the same position/setup nothing has changed/happened to account for this noise.

wtf is going on with my PSU? can I safely run my PC? I ideally need to continue using it until I can get a replacement.

My pcs performance has now tanked. I am getting half my normal FPS . GPU usage is barely going above 50 and drawing half of the normal power, CPU usage is down and drawing only 15 watts of power. The crackling/clicking noises have however stopped. My performance will randomly return to normal for 5-10 seconds. This is correlated with GPU usage going to 80%, drawing more power, and CPU usage spiking as well.

I am utterly stumped as what is going on ? could this be a power issue in my house?

TX850M 80plus. It’s powering a 3080 that’s slightly undervolted.
