Corsair Value Select 667- CPU-Z Shows 333

1Gb or RAM
With C2D E6400 and
Asus P5b (standard) mobo


How do i get the RAM to run at 667mhz?

I presume this will effect my performance as it's performing at half the expected value.

I selected PC5300 667 in the BIOS setting but CPU-Z still shows memory running @ 333

I'm not over clocking, just try to get my setup running, this is a 1st build.

DDR2-667 uses a 333MHz clock. Everything's OK -- read up on double-data-rate memory technology, starting in the forum FAQ sticky.
