Ok here's the system

gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2 mobo
Amd FX8150 CPU
Corsair Vengeance 8 gb 4x2
AMD FX 6870 GPU

My bios doesn't recognize ram as the 1600 which is normal as I've read and my bios settings allow my to change settings if I keep everything at auto and just change clock to achieve 1600 it doesn't work it resets to 1333 I've changed timings and voltages but can't seem to find a sweet spot any help would be apreciated

Solution
The gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2 only supports 95 watt TDP (Thermal Design Power) FX CPUs. Processors that have a TDP of 125 watts such as the FX-8150 are not supported. It is not surprising that it, gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2, doesn't work correctly.

The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the average maximum power a processor can dissipate while running commercially available software. TDP is primarily used as a guideline for manufacturers of thermal solutions (heatsinks/fans, etc) which tells them how much heat their solution should dissipate

Refer to the CPU Support List for supported processors.
