I got my new PC and I decided that my ram are good enough so I didnt buy new ram but when I got to the BIOS I set my ram to 2666mhz and it didnt post, so I ran install on 2133mhz ( that was it was clocked before the swap) and it worked fine OC to 2400mhz works fine but even after a few months 2666mhz doesnt work . I tried the Smart OC ( dont remeber how its called in the B450 bios but not XMP if I am right) it did 2666mhz also but it also didnt post.

I been running that ram in I3 6300 with H110M-C wich max Mhz was 2133mhz for around 2 years or 3
is it motherboards limitations? or ram?

My specs:
Ryzen 5 2600x
GTX 1070
B450 Asus gaming pro
2x8gb Corsair vengeance 2666mhz ( the box and documents say that I purschased 2666mhz)

what RAM slots you are using A1 B1 or A2 B2.?
yesterday facing same issue changed slots and got max speed 3200 before i was running stable on 2600 but cant pass that....
so make sure you are using corect RAM alots and enable XMP profile

In Asus parlance, XMP is called DOCP so you have to enable it at 2666. MB stats say it's capable of 4400MHz RAM support so that should pose no problem.
Are you sure that RAMs are placed in A2 and B2 slots ?
