Corsair Vengeance 8GB Kit DDR3-2133 only running at 1333MHZ????

I have a custom built PC that contains Corsair Vengeance 8GB Kit DDR3-2133, however when I looked in the BIOS it is only running at 1333MHZ.
Why is it running that low and how do I get the RAM to run at their potential?
My motherboard is a ASUS Z97-Pro (wifi ac).

have you enabled XMP?

Take a look in CPU-Z in the memory tab to see what you are running at - the BIOS often simply shows the default. If XMP is enabled, then CPU-Z should show appr 1066 (which x 2 = 2133 as this is DDR (DOUBLE data rate))
