I have a machine with (2x8) corsair Vengeance (c9) 1866 RAM. For some reason it only runs at 1333. After turning XMP on, the BIOS says it runs at 1866, but CPUID says 667 (aka 1333). I have also tried manually changing the timings from 9-9-9-24 to 9-10-9-27, but CPUID still shows that it is running at 667 (1333) still.

I also have a 4gb crucial ballistics 1866 stick that runs at 1866 when it is installed by itself (even with XMP turned off).

When i have all three installed together, the 2 corsair sticks show 667 (aka 1333) in cupid, and the crucial shows 933 (aka 1866) in cupid.

Anyone know what is going on with my corsair vengeance (c9) 1866 RAM?

I actually found the reason for the problem. The MoBo doesnt support Corsair Vengeance at 1866 on an 8gb stick. Here is the link to the confirmed compatability of 990fx-ud3 R4 and memory if you are interested. http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/memory_ga-990fxa-ud3.pdf

I returned the RAM and got some HyperX 1866 instead. It runs like a charm. With the auto OC option it actually runs at a higher speed than 1866 :)

Thanks for offering your help though! I appreciate it :)
