can anyone tell me the difference between the two corsair vengeance ram other than one is black and the other is blue?

That would be the reason for the B at the end of the model number , because from what I can see from that model number is that they are both 8gb sets with a case latency of 9 and speed of 1866.

inzone is right. on corsairs website it says the b just means blue version. they are the same product otherwise.
