Hello I planning to upgrade my system with Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz CL9 XMP Performance Desktop Memory RAM, but curiouos if my MB and CPU will it support?
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
MB: Asus M4A77T
Thank you.

Corsair has a ram selection app.
You enter your motherboard, and you will get a list of compatible ram kits.

I would not buy a 4 stick kit unless necessary. It will not run any faster than a 2 stick kit and will likely cost you more than a 2 x 8gb kit.

And... vengeance is a marketing brand that you pay more for.
Heat spreaders are useless, buy a cheaper version with no or low heat spreaders.

The link is to the asus QVL list for ram that was tested and found to work with that particular motherboard.
Such a list is rarely updated after launch.

The ram vendors lists are more current.
If you buy a kit that their app says is supported, you will get support for any issues from them.
In addition to corsair, G.skil, Kingston, patriot and others have similar apps.

Might have a couple of problems here - the 965 was the first AMD CPU that could fairly reliably run 1600 sticks (and that was aimed at 2 sticks. With 4 sticks of 1600 I'd try raising the the DRAM voltage + 0.06 and set the CPU/NB voltage to 1.25-1.3, and give it a try. Would be better off with 2x8GB (if supported, or try running them at 1333)
