Corsair Vengeance DDR4-300mhz Issue

Hey guys,

I have the following spec:

AMD Ryzen 1600
Asrock AB350 Pro
16gb (2*8) Vengeance RGB 3000mhz

I have just installed the new RAM above and it is showing as 2133mhz and causing my PC to blue screen. I have gone in to the bios and made sure the XMP is set to auto.

Is there something else I need to do?

I have same CPU on AB350M Pro4
I get blue screen when overclock ram to 2933mhz
Looks like you need downclock your ram to 2800mhz
Try ram speed clock, and see how it would be with non-blue-screen.
Firstly set xmp, then downclock ram to highest possible non-blue-screen.

It is ram speed issue

Have you tried updating your bios to a later revision? Ram compatibility has greatly improved since the release of the Ryzen platform.

I have updated it but I think there may be another update around I'll check and get back to you.

I'm going to update the bios as a first measure then I'll try this. Fingers crossed and thank you guys for your replies so far.

So guys, I updated the bios to 4.90, I also went in and set the timing to 2800. In the UEFI main page the memory is now showing as 2800 but in both CPU-Z and the corsair utility it is showing as 2133. I'm now very puzzled by this. Any ideas?
