Hi,
So, ive recently upgraded my CPU and motherboard from an i7 6700+ Gigabyte G1 Sniper (B150) to an i7 7700K + Asus Strix Z270F, but i had to use my old ram, Corsair Vengeance LED 2666mhz 16GB kit due to price constraints, but now i can actually make use of XMP or manual OC , set my ram to 2900mhz with memory voltage offset set to 0.050v.. = 1.25v and fully stable, i would like to achieve 3200mhz without going past 1.3v, what is considered the safe upper voltage for memory overclocking?? i don know that the gains will be minimal but i do want to get to 3200mhz, any ideas or assistance would be appreciated..

thanks in advance

Solution
At 3200 and above, 1.35 is *normal*, you shouldn't need that for 2666. What I usually do is visit the manufacturers forums and search for what others uses have accomplished w/ exact same kit and ask what I might expect or suggested settings.

So, 1.3v should be ok 24/7? i dont do any intensive tasks, just battlefield 4 and battlefield 1
