Corsair vengeance lp

Hello,

I have decided to buy the corsair vengeance LP 8gb 1866 red. I don't quite understand what the timing means. It's 9-10-9-24 is this the normal for this ram ? As I seen the black lp one has 9-9-9-24. Will I be fine buying the red ones and have the same performance as the black ?

yup, you're pretty much set

Performance wise basically the same, the different timings are indicative of different model of ICs or simply differently binned ICs, the straight 9-9-9 is slightly (very little) stronger
