I have my ram at 3200mhz at 1.5v dram but whenever I go higher I crash can someone explain RAM oc ? I have a gigabyte ultra gaming mobo and ryzen 7 1700x oced to 4.0ghz
If the Ryzen builds I've worked on are any example, it would appear that the Ryzen memory controller doesn't like to run at much higher than 3000 MHz. I'm using that same RAM on the machine I'm on now (Asus TUF B350M Plus-Gaming) and it isn't stable above 3000 MHz either.
Maybe the difference is you have a better board than I do.
I had mine at 3200 MHz for quite awhile, but had occasional freezeups. Went back to 3000 MHz and the freezeups went away.
I have a gigabyte X470 ultra gaming, ryzen 7 1700x (oc to 4ghz@1.398v) and Corsair vengeance lpx 3000mhz ram 16-20-20-20-38. I want to overclock to 3466-3600mhz my current RAM OC is 3200mhz with the timings listed above at +0.00 vcore soc offset and 1.4v Dram voltage please help
