[SOLVED] Corsair Vengeance LPX (Ryzen edition or not?)

Hi.

I'm planning on using a Ryzen 5 3600 in my PC build, as well as Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB 3200MHz RAM.

There is two versions of the RAM in my go-to online store :

A non "Ryzen-edition" for the equivalent of 92 USD
A "Ryzen-edition" for the equivalent of 113 USD

It doesn't really say what the benefit of Ryzen-edition is, just that it works better.
Does anyone know the difference or if it justifies the price increase?

The non-Ryzen edition says compatible with the following. Though as far as I can tell the non edition should still work..

• Intel 100
• Intel 200
• Intel 300
• Intel X299
• AMD 300
• AMD 400
• AMD X570

It's a sales gimmick, AMD 300, 400 and 500 series chipset are all for Ryzen.

Ultimately it's up to BIOS to accept memory and it's settings. DDR4, JEDEC and XMP are standard for all systems but my BIOS for instance slightly modifies XMP to fit better.
