Hi, I'm looking to get a 2x4 GB Ram for my mid 2012 macbook pro.

I wonder which would be a better options, since its my first upgrade, I want to get the best RAM regardless of the !0 bucks price difference in two.

G.SKILL Ripjaws (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-703-_-Product)

CORSAIR Vengeance (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820233588)

Both are CL9 and DDRL i.e. 1.35V, the only difference is the timing. The G.Skill timing is 9-9-9-28 and the Corsair timing is 9-9-9-24. Which one should I go with? I know that lower the tRAS the faster the RAM is, but which one will be better suited for a Mac, any idea?

Solution
CL9 DDR3-1333, not DDR3-1600.

It's not that much quicker, DDR3-1333 CL9 -> DDR3-1600 CL11 is already a nice upgrade.

Unfortunately, we can't sell to end users so we can't really help you there.

I have read many people using CL9 saying that it works fine with their Macs, but I've always had doubt since no manufacturers offer it for mac, not sure what to make out of that.

The only reason I was willing to gamble on CL9 is because it is supposed to be much faster than the CL11.

I looked at the sticks in the link, they look good, but its a bummer that I'm in Canada, and newegg.ca offers it for $107. I wonder if G.Skill ships to Canada, for free?
