Hello dear people of Tom's Hardware.

I am on the mend of buying new ram and i have narrowed my choiced down to these 2:

CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233536
HyperX Savage 16GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104510

Edit: A new contender in the mix:
Crucial 16GB KIT DDR3 1866MHz CL8 Ballistix Tactical
http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/blt2cp8g3d1869dt1tx0ceu

The price is pretty similar from what i am looking at (an european site its 5 euro difference, corsair being the more expensive one on par with crucial price) but its more about the ram itself than the money. The reason i'm undecided is mainy bad personal experience with kingston in the past. Granted i havent bought their ram again in over 10 years so...

Any advice would be highly appreciated

Just wanted to throw in my two pennies here- I know I wasn't asked but it might help someone... I was extremely fortunate to order my entire 'performance rig' components last night after quite literally an entire month of planning, picking, researching, re-thinking, re-picking, having to wake up each day and see prices go up due to Newegg's infamous quickly-on-sale-and-quickly-off-sale deals, rebates get removed, then picking new items, then having something go out of stock the next day, etc. -- but i didn't have the money yet all together, so I wound up spending nearly a full 30 days researching etc.

All the companies you listed are great companies with a fine product and reputation - I myself initially assumed I'd buy some version of Corsair Vengeance because it was the name I knew from years back, then I came very close to buying HyperX Fury, then Savage , etc. But nearly everyone said in almost every thread I read, G.Skill made the best and most likely to last longest, best overclocking, best performance, best overall etc. I wound up buying the Sniper line rather than the top of the line but I am very happy and everyone seems to love G.Skill - I'm sure their top line stuff would suffice for someone in your position (but sounds like you already ordered yours). Just in case anyone else has the same questions.

Very sorry Tradesman it had not even occurred to me, - should have done my figirin first but I ain't dat smrt. -- that is why you're the big bossman and I'm just an electric lemonade drinker. LOL. 😉

Thanks for the replies folks :)

And yes, G.Skill would have been my first choice, as I do like the brand. Probably would have gone with Ripjaws X. Had no issues with them whatsoever in my old rig. However, most of the websites that i use do not have them or they do but a very limited range that could have better frequencies / timings. And those places that do have it do not deliver here like amazon etc. I only used newegg links (searched by part number) because they offer way more information about the parts themselves.

Ended up ordering HyperX 2400MHz CL11 Savage Series, as rams with better freq/timing combos were way more expensive than the ones that were +1 latency off the "sweet spot" Hope i'll manage to get some better ratios when i tinker with them.
