Question Corsair Vengence RGB DDR5 on AMD with Intel XMP profiles (non AMD EXPO)

Hope you can offer me some advice.

I am building out an AMD system. The White variant of the Corsair Vengence DDR 5 memory is officially Intel XMP compatible.

VENGEANCE® RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6000MT/s CL30 Memory Kit — White

I'm going for a white themed build so I'd rather use the white kit, but it doesn't support EXPO profiles. For that i'd have to compromise my theme and go with the Grey variant, which is advertised as both XMP and EXPO compatible.

Is there any way to import EXPO settings onto the Intel XMP memory module and then use it to automate overclocking as if it came thay way out of the box?

If not, is there any way to capture the EXPO profile settings from Grey kit and manually configure the Intel XMP kit with those settings to achieve the same end goal?

Basically I want the White themed version of the Corsair Vengence RGB DDR5 ram running AMD EXPO profiles.

Hopefully i'm making sense.

I'm not experienced with RAM and BIOS settings so I would really appreciate your advice.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

In general, yes they should work but there are instances of people having instability issues when working with non-AMD E.X.P.O profiled ram kits. You could flash the BIOS to the latest, then clear the CMOS and then enable X.M.P in BIOS, then see if your platform suffers from instability.

What motherboard are you looking at?

You could look at Crucial's ram's;

You could also look at Klevv;

Thanks for the feedback. I have the Gigabyte B650E Aorus Elite X AX Ice.

I actually bought both (2x16GB) kits for visual comparison (White Intel XMP and Grey dual compatible Intel XMP and AMD EXPO). It strikes me as odd that they can manufacture a kit that supports both, but the white kit only supports Intel XMP. Why not just make all 3 color variants dual compatible. Anyhow.

Incidentally, I originally considered delidding the heatsink and switching it out for white one, but that would waste a set of modules and it might impact performance. Also considered spray painting, but changed my mind for the same reason.

I have also considered the Kingston FURY Beast White RGB 6000 CL30 kit as an alternative which does come in a white variant with AMD EXPO support.

Additionaly, found this, but it might be Google Gemini lying to me.

Yes, the Gigabyte B650E motherboard supports Intel XMP memory on AMD. The B650E motherboard is compatible with AMD Ryzen processors and supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory modules.

Explanation
  • The B650E motherboard has an AMD Socket AM5, which is compatible with AMD Ryzen processors.

  • The B650E motherboard supports dual channel DDR5 memory.

  • The B650E motherboard supports AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory modules.

  • The B650E motherboard's BIOS menu allows users to enable XMP or EXPO profiles.

  • The B650E motherboard's BIOS menu allows users to create their own SPD profile.
If true, does this mean I can use the white kit (intended for Intel) on my AMD motherboard and get the same results as running dedicated AMD EXPO compatiable memory?
