Thanks.
Budget - can stretch till 3-4 K. Any other good options in that segment ?

Reg Z170, I had it coupled with an i7-6700, but thinking of going for a Z270 with some RGB support. So planning to use old Z170 with pentium.

I could, but I have read in this forum itself that CX series are not at all good from Corsair. Isn't it that same series or an upgraded version of old line ups ? CX-M was a successor to this. right ?
Also, I don't want to go below 500 W.

there are some confusions right here.

the old corsair cx and cx-m lineup were bad, they had a green sticker and were 400/500/600w.
the new corsair lineup is good and have a grey black sticker and are 450/550/650w.

450w is plenty, for a 1070/1070ti/1080.
its not about the wattage its about the quality voltage stability output.

Okay thanks.
I'll try to find any good deals on CX or CX-M series then.
