Which one will get more FPS?

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233184
DDR3 1866Mhz 9-10-9-27 1.5V *1 Pack*
For $79.99

or

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233219
DDR3 1600Mhz 7-8-7-20 1.5V *1 Pack*
For $94.99

or

G.SKILL PI 4GB (2 x 2GB): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231351
DDR3 1600Mhz 6-8-6-24 1.6V *Would buy two of these packs if i went for this option*
For $64.99 x 2 = $130.00

I do not use memory bandwidth intensive programs, so would the low latency benefit me more?

Which do you think is better out of the three?

Would the G.SKill's 1.6v be fine for Sandy Bridge since it's within the voltage specification of 1.5v-1.6v Max?

First before going for a RAM, check your motherboard's manual and see if the memory is supported.

I was reading on Hardware Secrets that there is something like a 22% performance gains from CL9 to CL7. Although these are hardly noticeable, but since the GSkill one is in your radar, then go for it.

If i find the link to the article, i will post it.

^ ooo goodie, was just just about to order it, had 2 in cart, went to pay, and now there's only 1 pack left in stock.

Homer Simpson : DOPE!

Guess i'll check Amazon. If 22% gain from CL9 to CL7, it must be 25%+ going to CL6.

There's only one left for the G.Skill, if i can't get two, then i'll probably learn toward the Corsair Vengence.

Wanted the Corsair Dominator GT 1.5v but they are sooooooooooooooooooooo expensive.

The GSKill RAM's were pretty cheap and were available when they first came into the market. In those days, Corsair/Mushkin and some other brands RAM's were highly overpriced. With time these guys have almost made it to the top of the list of RAM makers. And now they ask for premium rates for their RAM's, but still as you see highly in demand, since they get sold as quickly as you decide to order!!

The tables have turned in the last 2-3 years. :)

Keep in mind that memory bandwidth on any platform using a dedicated GPU (vs onboard graphics like Llano) is going to have almost no measurable effect on FPS. The only way you'll see a lot of difference with memory during gaming will be when you run out of RAM and your system starts paging to the page file. My suggestion is an 8GB kit if you are playing modern games.

Oh. I don't use anything over 5GB of ram, and i've had those messages using 4GB of ram.

Also have two 6970 in crossfire x8 x8, i5 2500k @ 5Ghz i'm blue screening atm with 1.65v ram. when i drop speed to 1333mhz @ 1.4v i dont get problems.

In your opinion do you think i should go for quicker timing?

btw, i see you on corsair forums haha.

not much of a gain then.

I might as well just go for the Corsair Vengence one, they're cheap.

Do you know if there are the vengence, but in 2GB sticks each making up 8GB (4x2GB)?

I hate it when all the ram slots aren't full, they look displeasing.
