I'm looking for a RAM kit for an upcoming Ryzen 1400 / AsRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 build, and I'm considering the following two:
Vengeance® LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3000MHz C15
or
Kingston HyperX Savage DDR4 3000 MHz.
What concerns me, however, are two things:
1. In the light of recent problems with overclocking RAM on Ryzen motherboards, I'm looking for advice on whether this will work. Neither of these modules are listed on AB350's official support list. Is it possible to make a mistake of buying a RAM module that just doesn't work with a motherboard, at all?
2. Both of these modules are said to be optimized for Intel builds. What does this mean for a Ryzen build?
Any advice would be very helpful.
