I know there have been plenty of this qstion but I just made my first gaming rig and I am worried.................my PC specs are :
- i5-6500
-Gigabyte ga h170 gaming 3
-Gigabyte GeForce gtx 970 g1 gaming
-8gb ram
-1tb HDD
-Asus CD-Rom
My concern here is about the PSU I read too many bad reviews about I just wanna know is it dangerous to use this PSU on these components (mobo or GPU or CPU might get destroyed).........or this PSU wont just last for long and I will need to change soon after using it a year maybe............PS:my main games are Wow and StarCraft and diablo and I am not an overclocker

A "Seasonic S12II Bronze 520W 80 PLUS Certified" is enough for my pc if I am going to change me corsair vs

Solution

Yes. Definitely better than Corsair VS. If you want to be more future proof get Seasonic S12G 550 or Antec Truepower Classic 550 if its available.

Probably your second concern rather than your first. The capacitors are things like CapXon and Jun Fu. FWIW if I was in your situation and had already purchased it I would just use it. But if you do decide to replace it you won't have a total loss. A spare PSU is a nice thing to have lying around for diagnostic purposes. For just that reason I keep an old Xion Supernova from 2007 in the closet.

From my use of Corsair's power supplies, they are reliable and okay in power efficiency. I've never had anything blatantly wrong with one. Usually at the higher wattage power supplies, 650w+, they want to make sure their PSUs perform adequately. I expect there to be no problem in using this in your build.
