Chieftec costs less but i don't see it has 85% efficiency like corsair has. (There is no vs500 500watt model on that site, don't tell me to take it)

amd phenom II x4 940
ram 4gb ddr2
radeon hd 4730 (planned on gtx750 or 960)
biostar ta790gxbe
Thanks!

It's a 500W but still from the CX series which is a lower-end unit. You can still use it and it will run your system fine, but I'm just suggesting going for a higher quality unit here. The CX500 will run your rig just fine. I can also imagine that the 960 will consume even less power than the 145W of the GTX 970.

Yes that would do the job just fine, however I'd try looking for a 500-550W unit for some headroom if you are upgrading to a GTX 750/960.

You just answered your own question, i don't need a power supply that costs more than my cpu and ram. I'm on a tight budget. CX500 is ideal.
