after 10 minutes playing BF3 the power supply fans goes up and sounds like a jet... 50-55 decibels in noise! the other fans are low, this one its incredibly loud.

specs:

CORSAIR VS550
fx-8320 (3.5 ghz)
gtx580 evga superclocked
8gb ram
scheda madre GA-78LMT-USB3 rev 5.0

I am starting to think that if you push a power supply to use 100% its watts it will produce a lot of heat and be loud...what do you guys think?

no overclocks at all

or would more airflow correct the problem??, i have only a rear fan wich is 700rpm cheap garbage, would 2 jet flo fans, one intake, one exhaust, fix the issue?

how many watts am i taking from the psu?

the case has the power supply at the back-top.

As soon as the Corsair VS550's power draw exceeds 330 Watts its cooling fan begins to ramp up its speed.

Your total system draw during gaming must be exceeding 330 Watts. Any heat buildup within the computer case may also increase the PSU's fan speed. If you leave the side of the case open does the PSU's fan still run at high speed?
gtx 580 requires 40 amp and a 600 watt psu your psu first off all in not a gaming standard psu vs series are entry level psu i think the psu is running at 100% load thats why the fans are spinning insanely so get a good 650 watt from seasonic or xfx...
