Ive recenltly built my gaming pc(2 weeks) with specs :-(everything at stock)
CPU - i5 4670k
Graphic card - Palit jetstream GTX 780
HDD - Seagate 1TB
MoBo - gigabyte ga z87m d3h
Cabinet - cm elite 311
PSU - corsair vs 650
RAM - Corsair value select 2*4gb
However have some doubts on vs650s reliability ... It's working fine till now...would appreciate comments and suggestions

Solution
vs 650w corsair has the power to run your specs. dont worry.it isnt the best unit corsair can offer but it is surely enough. just go easy on overclocking, if you decide to do so.!

''go easy on overclocking'' includes a boost at 4.2ghz. just keep it there. the same applies to your gpu, just dont try to squeeze every possible Mhz out of it.!

Hi Avionblues
The GeForce GTX 780 requires 42A on the +12v rail and a 600W PSU minimum
check the power conumption for your CPU - i5 4670k when overclocked

unfortunately it doesn't show 4.2ghz OC but i would inmagine it would be up around 160 watts under load
you may be pushing it
The corsair VS has low grade capacitors and no the best of PSU's
I would suggest for peace of mind and some headroom get a 750watt or thereabouts PSU from seasonix/xfx or any psu
form corsair's TX,HX or AX range of PSU's or any psu from coolermasters Vseries or any psu from the EVGA supernova series
all of these have high grade japanese capacitors

Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition 4.60 GHz on all cores / GeForce GTX 780
System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress ~ 350W

your VS 650 has an 600w capable 12v rail, so you arent actually stressing it to the limit. you are within a safe zone. it isnt such quality psu but that isnt a reason to buy a new one.

Just one last query I reach around 65-75 c temps on all cores while playing game(majorily black flag, watch dogs,bf4)...safe or not ??.. Its said hasswell could handle temps upto 90+ and then will throttle ..... But still is it decent temp?

well 75c is a bit high but still safe for 24/7 . higher than 80c is really acceptable only under stress test. stock cooler arent that good. ensure you have sufficient tower airflow. also you could reapply a better thermal paste but thats really not needed if you are getting a cm 212 evo
