Hello!

I have this build:

An i7 4th gen cpu, GTX 970 with 8 GB of RAM;

I am, however, stuck with Corsair VS650W - am I screwed? I jut found out how bad/cheap they are and how they are NOT for high end gaming.

I cannot buy another/exchange it (reasons not important) so? should I be worried about this? will something bad happen to rig? will the PC's performance suck when gaming?

well, as a gtx 970 only needs 550 watts at the most your power supply will not be anywhere near full load. the gaming performance would only drop in the event there is not enough power which is unlikely. while a cheapo power supply, it will not explode, and as it is not being pushed, it should last until you can get a new one ( easy six months or so.) just try not to OC much if at all

Thank you Robert

I do not like to Overclock my parts so that is not going to happen.

What do you mean being pushed? won't me gaming on high settings on new games push the PSU?

Now the psu is not gold certified - so even with it's lack of efficiency, it will NOT be pushed?

Yea the power should be fine it is the fact that it is a cheap one - I am afraid of it ruining the rest of my PC lol or even affectingperformance for some reason
