Corsair x2 4GB ram only showing 4gb all up

i have installed 4GB x2 slots of ram in my computer and have been using it for a while and has been showing 8GB but all of a sudden is has just started showing 4gb all up not sure if i screwed the ram or what any info requests of info would be epic

Possibly one of them died. Try them one at a time.

Can pull both and clean the connectors, blow out the slots for errant dust also. Then firmly insert each stick so the clips on the ends lock into place by themselves
